Saul

With a generous gift certificate from the VA McCormicks, Jess and I visited a favorite restaurant of our in Bourem Hill, Brooklyn, Saul. Here is the happy recap:

Wine: Four Graces Pinot Gris, 2006

Amuse: Chilled Cucumber Puree, Creme Fraiche, Chives

First Course: Jess- Seafood Chowder, smoked bacon, manila clams, mussels, fin herb
Ed - Pork Belly and Octopus Salad, grilled scallion, jicama, citrus chili vinaigrette

Mid Course : Foie Gras terrine, proscuitto, sicilain pistachios, chamomile scented grappa gelee

Main Course: Jess: Aged ribeye, braised short ribs, potato and spinach puree, marrow butter
Ed - Roasted sweetbreads - Radish, fava, dill salad, cucumber sauce, smoked paprika

Dessert : Selection of 5 cheeses from Italy, Spain, and France washed down with Muscat

A truly stellar meal from beginning to end. Thanks to Brendan, Elaine, Michael, and Nicole for a memorable evening!!!!
