Michael-Yes, that was Captain Bligh--it looked to me that perhaps Mr. Laughton had a cocktail or two before this performance.
Sol-I agree with your comment about he acting--and physically they look preposterous as the bohemians--Ms. Tebaldi doesn't look to be wasting away anytime soon.
