I know many readers of this blog were fans of Gourmet. I made many a recipe from the magazine and was never disappointed. Ugh.

Sadly, I think it punctuates what I consider the demise of fine cuisine in America. Just look at TV news: fat slobs who would eat shit as long as it had sugar on it. How about the latest: a cheeseburger on a Krispt Kreme doughnut?
I've been salivating thinking about what a cheeseburger on a Krispy Kreme donut would taste like. An idea that must have originated in my half of the country.
