The Return of the Ortolan
The French have brought back the once banned ortolan to their table. Read here.
I see no reason why this could not be us at are next family gathering? If the ortolan is unattainable we have a beach full of piping plovers that might be a suitable replacement. Ginny, get the napkins ready!

I read this last night and enjoyed the article. I also read the link to Mitterand's last meal which made me hungry.
Eating the bones might be tough but they are so small it cant be that tough especially after they have been soaked in Armanac!
